Design

Each garden is as unique as the individual who will delight in and use it. The design process starts with a free consultation to determine what your hopes and dreams are for your garden as well as how you will be using it. An assessment of the current garden is essential and included – the existing plants and hardscape, sun exposure, other existing conditions. This consultation is followed up with a design proposal that includes a drawing, plant list, budget, and timeline/schedule. Depending upon the scope of the project, a design fee will start at around $500.

Water Gardens

The soothing sound of water and the joy of caring for fish can add a peaceful respite to your city garden.

For Chefs

Or just the daily cook! An herb and vegetable garden can be planted with just a small sunny spot in containers or raised beds or even window sills, to provide an educational and fun culinary interest to your home garden.

Installation and Project Management

Once a design proposal has been accepted, the process of installing your new garden begins. Gardens of Grace will supervise and manage any hardscape installation through sub-contractors and finish with the planting and watering systems.

Maintenance

Annual maintenance contracts are available, and vary in service and price depending on your garden needs. A minimum contract would include a "Spring and Fall Clean Up" and start at $400/year (remove debris, feed, mulch, prune). More elaborate maintenance plans include several visits a year for bulb planting, annual interest display, flower bed change-out with the seasons, and weeding.

Pet and Child Friendly

Sharing a garden with the entire family – children and pets – has its own set of challenges, not least of which is choosing safe plants for both children and pets. Ensuring the continued beauty of your garden may mean clearly defining zones of activities with pets and children, and may include container gardens to keep plants safe from destruction.
