SERVICES

From Concept to Concrete

I work with my clients to create custom garden and outdoor spaces, with an emphasis on the unique challenges of gardening in urban settings. My services range from designing patios and decks, to planting seedbeds and saplings. Drawing on my background in architecture and my years of volunteer work at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I help my clients turn their outdoor spaces into urban oases.

MY PROMISE

I believe a garden should be a source of calm and respite. Whether it's a sunny roof deck or a shady alcove, I work with my clients to transform their green spaces according to their individual needs and tastes. It is my aim to make your garden your favorite new room in the house, and to help you maintain it long after I'm finished.

About Me

MY NAME IS Margaret WilmerDing

I've been an avid gardener all my life. Raised in France, Alabama, and Texas, with most of my adult life in New York and North Carolina—my travels have taken me far, but my love of nature and animals has remained constant. At the University of Texas, I pursued a degree in architecture, and went on to earn an MBA at NYU. For the past twelve years, I've been splitting my time between New York and North Carolina, where I ran an historic inn. In 2019, I relocated to Germantown, a historic neighborhood in Philadelphia. A longtime volunteer at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I am formerly the President of the Auxiliary. I've been gardening for over thirty years, first as a hobbyist, then as a volunteer, and now as a professional.
